Almost all microform titles are stored on the second floor of the library. Please ask for assistance at the Reserves and Periodicals Service Desk.
To determine if the library has particular material on microform (microfilm or microfiche), perform either a subject, title, periodical title, or author search in the library catalog. If you need assistance finding materials, please visit the Reserves and Periodicals service desk. In addition to the standard microform readers and printers, the Periodicals / Reserves Department also provides access to a digitized Scan Pro microform scanner. Patrons using the digitized scanner can save PDF images of microform pages to their own flash drive, or print paper copies using their Paper Cut account.
You can find newspapers, magazines, journals, and serials the library subscribes to by searching the library catalog. If you have difficulty finding or obtaining a particular issue or volume, ask for assistance at the Reserves and Periodicals Service Desk (2nd floor). Back issues of newspapers are typically retained for three months; length may differ with each title. Back issues of some newspapers are available on microform.
Most current periodicals are kept on the closed shelves in this department. All unbound periodicals are restricted for building use only. Older volumes, which have been bound, are located on the stack floors (floors 3-5) and may be checked out by graduate students, faculty, and staff. Recent issues of magazines and journals are shelved in call number order.
The Periodicals and Reserves staff is available to assist you with their services.
